As you know from the introduction, this resource looks at three different kinds of assignments. It’s important to know how to look at the samples – for example you need to consider the wider course context, the assessment criteria.

So, to make the most of the resource, we recommend you follow this procedure:
- learn about the course context;
- familiarise yourself with the assignment brief and the assessment criteria;
- read the sample assignment and think whether it answers the question and meets the criteria;
- finally listen to (and read) the tutor’s commentary on the assignment to see what they say.
