English for Academic Study, University of Glasgow holds the copyright for all the materials included in the website, including essay samples, assignment briefs, assessment criteria and video commentaries as well as the photographs apart from the ones used in ‘Problem-Solution Essay’ section and the photo of the University of Glasgow main building in the ‘Project team’ section for which creative licences information was provided at the bottom of the relevant page.
When it comes to the use of sample assignments, the project was subject to the approval of the University of Glasgow Ethics Committee and the student authors were fully informed about the purpose of the project, how their assignments would be used and based on that information they signed the consent forms.
Texts and videos can used for non commercial purposes under a Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives.
This means you may copy these materials, use them in VLEs, study packs, lectures, seminars and workshops in an unchanged form. This is because they students had not given permission to change or adapt their samples in any way.
